Earlier this month, D.C. supergroup The Deadmen released their impressive full-length effort brimming with thoughtful, sharp songwriting and superior musicianship. As a follow up from the release, one of the most poignant tracks off that record, “55 Days,” now has accompanying visuals that are just as gripping as the song itself.
Directed by Patrick Mason, “55 Days’s” video shows an escaped convict who tries to assimilate back into his old life. But once he returns home, he quickly realizes that things are not the way they used to be. The dark narrative is enhanced by the evocative, strapping vocals that offer an extra layer of moodiness and intensity to the video.
The Deadmen’s eponymous album is now available via their label 8 Gang Switch. Stream “55 Days” below and all week on our homepage.
