Just Announced: Courtney Barnett And Kurt Vile Will Play D.C.’s The Anthem in November
If you haven’t heard already, Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile are making a record together under a new project called The Sea Lice. A few weeks ago the duo announced a string of tour dates to promote the forthcoming album, and from the list one couldn’t help but notice that D.C. was absent. Well today, we know why: they were keeping it hush hush in light of The Anthem’s announcement of their show on November 7.
Tickets will go on sale this Friday, June 30 at 10 a.m. via Ticketfly. They’ll go on sale the same day as other big headlining gigs at The Anthem like Queens of the Stone Age, St. Vincent and Phoenix, so it’ll be a pretty busy day for ticket buying (not to mention, you might be breaking the bank a little that day.)
Besides Barnett and Vile, The Sea Lice’s live band will include music veterans Janet Weiss (Sleater-Kinney, Wild Flag), Katie Harkin (Harkin, Sky Larkin), Rob Laakso (The Violators, Mice Parade, The Swirlies) and Stella Mozgawa (Warpaint.)
