Just Announced: Lorde Will Play New D.C. Venue The Anthem Next April
Moments after releasing her sophomore album, Melodrama, this morning, Lorde also announced a big North American tour that’ll stop at new D.C. venue The Anthem.
While the show won’t happen until next year–on April 8–tickets will go on sale to the public as soon as next Friday, June 23 via Ticketfly. Prices range from $100-$175.
The news follows The Anthem’s big grand opening show announcement earlier this week. The Foo Fighters will be the first to play the venue on Oct. 12, and tickets go on sale today–June 16–at 10 a.m.
The Anthem is one of several D.C.-area venues operated by promotions juggernaut and 9:30 Club owners I.M.P., located at shiny new Southwest Waterfront development The Wharf. When it opens, there’ll be enough space to accommodate up to 6,000 concert-goers and will be one of the city’s largest spots to see live music.
