Photos: Sound Advice Panel Discussion @ the Smithsonian American Art Museum 3.5.17

By Krystina Gabrielle | Reviews

On Sunday, we wrapped up our Sounds of the City festival with Sound Advice, a panel discussion at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. For this event, we were able to shed some light on what bookers, journalists and other music tastemakers look for when selecting an artist to feature. Brandon Wetherbee of Brightest Young Things, Fitz Holladay of Sofar Sounds, D.C. musician and visual artist Kevin Chambers, Maggie Cannon of 9:30 Club and Lisa Larson of Comet Ping Pong shared some great insight on the topic of marketing yourself as an artist online and through social media.

If you missed the panel, you can stream the full discussion on our Facebook page. Special thanks to the Smithsonian American Art Museum for hosting and supporting this event.
