Kingman Island Bluegrass and Folk Festival Announces 2017 Music Lineup

Kingman Island Bluegrass and Folk Festival has announced its gigantic music lineup for this year’s show, which features nearly 40 regional bluegrass, folk and Americana acts.

Virginia folk group Frank Solvian & Dirty Kitchen, North Carolina’s Town Mountain and Grammy Award-winning folk artist (and member of Carolina Chocolate Drops) Dom Flemons are set to headline the show, which takes place on May 13 on the gorgeous Kingman and Heritage Islands Park. More local standouts on the list include bluegrass outfit By & By, The Sligo Creek Stompers, Jonny Grave, Justin Trawick and the Common Good and Run Come See. The festival will feature five music stages across the island, plus other outdoor activities, educational tents and plenty of food trucks and beer.

Advance tickets are now on sale for just $25, and once April hits (or the tickets are all gone) the price will go up to $30. The festival is also offering up VIP tickets for $125, which gets you unlimited drinks, private restrooms, a front-row view of the stage and access to the VIP area.
