One of the standout D.C. acts to emerge in recent months is post-punk stalwarts Flasher. The band, comprised of Taylor Mulitz (Priests), bassist Daniel Saperstein (Bless, Trouble) and drummer Emma Baker (Big Hush), is a local supergroup whose roots run deep into D.C.’s music scene. The trio released one of the best records of the year in April, and now have dropped an official music video for “Destroy,” directed by Drew Hagelin.
“Destroy” is one of several moody, intoxicating gems that can be found on their debut EP. The entire record was originally self-released by the band via Bandcamp, but the trio is now working with Priests’ label Sister Polygon Records to reissue it on vinyl. What a time to be alive.
Flasher’s EP will be re-released on Nov. 18. Watch “Destroy” here, and stream it all week on the front page of our site.
