DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities Will Highlight Local Talent at Its Labor Day Weekend Music Festival

By Stephanie Williams | News

The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities is throwing a three-day music festival during Labor Day weekend that’ll highlight some of the city’s best acts.

Between Sept. 2-4, over a dozen bands from the area will perform at the historic Lincoln Theatre on U Street. It’s a diverse bill that’ll bring together all types of music, from go-go to Americana. Some of our favorites like rock outfit Wanted Man, folk duo The Sweater Set, gypsy brass stalwarts Black Masala and Americana band Bumper Jacksons will perform at the festival, which is completely free to attend.

If you’re not planning on going anywhere for Labor Day, consider checking out a few cool D.C. bands at the Lincoln Theatre. To guarantee your spot, RSVP here to the show.
