An Audio Guide To The Inaugural Magnificent Intentions Festival

magint-620x310

Earlier this summer, D.C. experienced its first In It Together Fest, which was a four-day celebration that shined a spotlight on the city’s burgeoning music scene. The event was an overall success, and now another new music festival, called Magnificent Intentions, will make its big debut this weekend at IOTA Club.

Ryan Walker, the brainchild behind the event and member of D.C. band The Beanstalk Library, will bring over 20 bands and artists to the cozy Arlington-based venue. The festival kicks-off on Friday, October 17 with D.C. headliners Justin Jones, powerhouse duo Paint Branch, Olivia and the Mates, newcomers Fellow Creatures and Nashville-based singer-songwriter Carolyn Crysdale.

The rest of the schedule also has more stand-out acts to boast, including our Autumn Spectacular alums Lowercase Letters along with D.C. Americana bands Vandaveer and South Rail. If you don’t know any of the names on the bill, we’ve put together a handy guide of what you can expect for the first ever Magnificent Intentions festival. Enjoy!
